Daniel Sheehan

Daniel Sheehan is a Pulitzer-prize winning photojournalist who worked for New York Newsday. He now lives in Seattle and is one of the most successful wedding photographers in the region. Among many other more prominent weddings that Sheehan has photographed was Conan O’Brien’s wedding in 2002. Unlike many wedding photographers, Sheehan is still in love with film and shoots a variety of cameras, including a 617 panoramic camera, at every wedding he photographs. He is one of the pioneers of “journalistic wedding photography,” has won a number of awards from the Association of Wedding photojournalists and was named an International Award Winning Photographer from that association.

Sheehan transitioned from covering hard news to weddings and documenting them in the same way as a news photographer covers an editorial story. Instead of being under duress in war zones though, he shoots joyful celebrations of love, family and friends (with better food too!). More than 250 nuptial celebrations later, photographing weddings has become Sheehan's most gratifying work.
